LUDHIANA: Pit babe for the Force India team, Alisha Walia of BRS Nagar, left the city on Thursday to dazzle among the F1 cars during the awaited Formula One Grand Prix of India at Buddh International Circuit in Greater Noida.
The city girl would tour along with the Force India team during this championship year where as other city residents are in a rush to get hold of the tickets to witness the historic first ever F1 race in India from October 28 to 30.
Before she left for the event, Alisha said she celebrated the best Diwali of her life as her family was elated with their daughter's achievement. Alisha said she is excited to meet
Michael Schumacher as he has a huge fan following. "It would be great fun to motivate some of the best drivers of the world at the newly made circuit,'' she added. Alisha's parents, Sunder Singh and Reeta Ahluwalia, said Goddess Lakshmi blessed them with prosperity this Diwali and they are eager to watch the grand event. Her brother, Armaan, a BBA-I student was elated that his sister would raise the glamour quotient at the momentous event. Rohit Kumar, a sports car enthusiast from BRS Nagar, said it is a proud moment for Ludhianvis as a city girl would be the pit babe for Force India team this year. "We Ludhianvis are known to add glamour to any event with our presence and the Race Day would be all the more exciting as Alisha cheers the talented F1 drivers,'' he added.
